Wanna know what the coolest part of this business trip is? Not being cold for the first time in two months. Packed two jerseys and they’re still in the suitcase – awesome.
Running around in Tanzania for a couple of days, and today on our travels we ended up at the coolest beach bar ever. It looks like one of those places you always see on those movies shot on some island – you know, the ones where you lounge on a beach stretcher sipping a cocktail while the waves do their wave thing a few metres away (guess who does NOT write articles for Lonely Planet Travel Guides….). Throw in a couple of offshore islands and you’ve got paradise. Bliss.
The Beach Bar is called “daralive” (formerly known as “Malaika” before being taken over), so if you’re ever in the valley, be sure to check it out. I hear in the evenings it becomes one hell of a party spot. Sounds fair to me.
Beats the pants off yet another dingy Joburg bar.
