So it recently dawned on me that this site has not received a single comment in quite a while.
I didn’t think too much about it – not that many people comment on sites anyway (or maybe just mine… sniff sniff). But then… I realised that previously the site would at least get one or two comments every few days, PLUS site traffic has pretty much tripled in the last couple of months.
And it also dawned on me that there has not been a single comment since changing to this current theme, which is a converted WordPress theme, redone to work on Blogger.
“Hmmm…” I muttered as the rusty old brain cogs kicked (begrudgingly) into (limited) life. “Perhaps I should test the comments section” I heard a little voice say. Those little voices are way too chatty, if you ask me… but I digress.
And then today I saw that one of the latest referring links to this site was the Blogger comments frame, but there’s no sign of an email about it (coz I check up on y’all like that), and no new comment to be found on any of the posts.
I therefore proceeded to test a comment as an anonymous user, and guess what? Not working. F@cked. Broken. Zip. Nada. Niks. Comment FAIL.
So you know what that means, don’t you? I going to have to go through the entire process of changing to a theme that actually works. Again. Awesome. Sulk.
And to be quite honest, the basic Blogger themes suck. So it’s time to go track one down that does not in fact suck, and which works properly too. Good luck to me!
Will let y’all know when it’s sorted, so you can continue to comment.
Coz I like talking to you.
All of you.
Well… most of you.
You… complete me.

UPDATE: A whole four hours later
It appears that the rumours are true: I am officially awesome. Just in case you were wondering…
All appears to be working again – after changing the comments section from below the post to a pop up window instead. Stoopid theme doesn’t play nicely with the below the post bit.
So now you HAVE to comment, or I’m gonna feel ever so slightly silly…

Awesome! I got a comment!
Exciting times!
It's not just you. People really just don't comment much on websites any more. Now days all those comments get directed towards a social network like Facebook.
Good point. Everyone's far too busy chatting away on each other's Facebook walls. Never considered that.
But at least I managed to fix the comments section here – rather pleased about that.
