I seem to be getting more and more spam email with every day that passes. Well bless their conniving, thieving, evil little hearts – they do try their darndest to make it work.
Take a look at a couple of the latest ones I’ve received:
First up… the personalised (all the while failing dismally) fake recommendation:
Personalised - FAIL - Spam
NEWSFLASH: My name isn’t Judi. And I don’t know anyone named Ann. Well, not with that spelling of the name anyway. That said, I have received about fifteen of these this week alone, each one using a different person’s name.
Still haven’t received one addressed to Stu yet though; so until then, FAIL. Better luck next time.
Next up, the constant bombardment from a bank demanding that their system is changing and I need to log in immediately to prevent me from losing all my cash (joke’s on you – I don’t have any cash).
Fake ABSA Email - Spam
Naturally the highlighted link points to something along the lines of www.sucker.fail.areyouanidiot.com. Next fail: you screwed up the logo – the top is cropped. I really can’t see a bank being that silly.
But the main mistake these clowns with their database lists of addresses made is… I don’t bank with ABSA. So, ummm… gee, I wonder if it’s real.
Fail.

I usually keep a list of people I hate and have done me wrong when I respond to these things….
I usually send out a “My email address has moved” type of email. It looks almost like an auto response….its pretty cool.
Brilliant! I will DEFINITELY be trying that idea. That’ll teach ‘em…
