The vuvuzela's on Twitter and Facebook! Zzzzzzzzzzz

Nope, it ain’t snoring implied by the “Zzzzzz” in the title above, it’s how the web has decided to write the sound made by South Africa’s made-famous-by-the-World-Cup horn, the vuvuzela.

Love it or hate it the vuvuzela is here to stay (for now at least). Having recently made the news by becoming a trending topic on Twitter – i.e. one of the 10 most talked about topics on Twitter worldwide – the rowdy little trumpet has decided to expand into social media.

May I present The Vuvuzela Horn Buzzing Constantly on Facebook…

Classic! 12 points.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!!

According to Mybroadband.co.za:

Dutch designers moblio have released a Vuvuzela 2010 app on Apple’s iTunes music store.

Their website says they have had 750,000 downloads of the application that lets users blow the horn by touching an image of it on their screen.

One user comment called it “so stupid, it’s awesome”.

And it doesn’t end there either – I myself know of at least two people NOT in South Africa who have the vuvuzela’s drone as their ringtone. Gotta get my hands on that tone – it’ll drive my dogs nuts – they loathe vuvuzelas!
“Woof Woof Woof”
“Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz”
“Yelp Yelp Yelp”
Awesome!

Relax hippies – I’m not really going to terrorise my mutts. The neighbours are fair game though, right?
